What a lovely spring celebration we had! Thanks to everyone who shared new Spuffy stuff with us or cheered the authors and artists on, or still plans to cheer them on. Everyone else, I hope you had a good time, as well! :)

I'm going to leave a list of links here so we can find the equinox free-for-all entries later. It will live in the index post tag, which we can use to browse overviews of past rounds and free-for-all days back to, oh, 2008. ^^

Authors, when crossposting your fic, remember that you can use the Seasonal Spuffy EF category or AO3 tag to help more people find it. Readers, feel free to check out same for a selection of past entries.

Posting-wise, we're on hiatus till May, and then we will have EVEN MORE fun than we just did, because May 2 - May 22 is the Spring 2019 Round of Seasonal Spuffy. Signup for posting days is still open, and there will be free-for-all days: May 6, May 12, May 18-19. Everyone working on entries, good luck! <3

In the meantime, teragramm will open our traditional banner contest soon, so keep an eye out for that if you enjoy making banners and receiving votes under cover of anonymity.

And rebcake will have a poll for you. (Yay! Rebcake polls are fun!)

All right, where do we go from here? :) Here's a recap of our plans in case something slipped your mind in the excitement of the free-for-all.

Starting next Sunday, for our new participants, there will be a series of tutorial posts about How to LiveJournal. Those posts will only be on our tumblr blog and Facebook page. If someone here is interested but tumblr/Facebook is a problem, please let me know.

The banner challenge for the fall round will open officially on October 16. Artists are free to start work whenever, as teragramm assures us that banner challenge rules rarely change. Questions about the banner challenge are best asked here.

The Fall 2018 round will run November 16 to December 2 on LiveJournal. All the posting days are filled (yay!), BUT one can still sign up to share a day, and/or post on the free-for-all days: Nov 22, Nov 25, and Dec 1-2.

The Winter Solstice free-for-all is on December 21. If you have any suggestions for something special we could do with that event, now's the time to suggest! However, as this fall free-for-all showed, we do just great when we keep things simple. <3

My apologies for the lateness of this index post. You know, when you think about doing something, and in your head that translates into 'did the thing'? Yeah, that's what happened here.

A New Era

Well, that’s it for another amazing round of Seasonal Spuffy! Each year as I go through tagging stories and artwork and browsing comments, I am so impressed by the love that continues for our favourite pair, so very long after their show has left the air. Whether you’re comics lovers, or your hearts reside within the seven seasons of TV canon, we are all Spuffy fans and we are all awesome. The theme for this round was A New Era, and I like to think of Seasonal Spuffy as ushering in a new era of Spuffy goodness. Let’s keep this community, and this fandom, going, shall we, in this bright new era.

Now, the moderators here at Seasonal Spuffy (abelina, gillo, rebcake, slaymesoftly, and teragramm) would like to take a moment to acknowledge the loss of one of our own. During this round, one of our members passed away far too soon at age 32. Known on LJ as musicbitch, she was a prolific Spuffy writer who had been producing stories for the Buffy fandom since at least 2006 and posted her most recent story this year. You can find her work at TheBloodshedverse and ElysianFields the name TammyDevil666, and on TheSpuffyRealm under TammyAsh666.

RIP

Just as last year, this index post was a joint effort between myself (abelina ) and slaymesoftly , who collected the links and saved me from a ton of copying & pasting. Please let me know if something is categorized incorrectly, if any links are broken or incorrect, and I’ll fix that right up. If you started a WIP for this round and continue it elsewhere, shoot me a message and I’ll update the index to include the additional links.

Multi-chapter fics are either marked complete, or include a placeholder for links to further chapters. Un-chaptered fics, unless otherwise marked, are complete. Fics with an NC-17 rating are marked accordingly.

A great big thanks to everyone who participated, the moderators for keeping this community running, the artists, the writers, the beta-readers, and the faithful appreciators of all of these things who took the time to leave a kind word for their creators. Well, first of all, I’d like to thank everyone who participated in Round 18 of seasonal_spuffy—authors, artists, and all of you who took the time to read and look and leave a few words of appreciation. Our theme this round was “bouncing back” and bounce we did! Our show might be over, but Spuffy never goes out of season.

slaymesoftly was originally going to do this Index Post, but she had a host of computer problems so I offered to take this on. My role this far in this community has mostly been behind the scenes—I am your friendly neighbourhood tag-wrangler—but I’ll venture out of my cave for now to bring you Round 18’s index post.

Please let me know if any of the links are broken or if I missed something, or if you find your work listed in the wrong place, and I’ll be happy to fix that up. If you started a WIP for this round and finish it elsewhere, let me know and I’ll link to that as well. (Also, whenever I edit this post, Dreamwidth keeps changing the links to the LJ user accounts to DW ones, so I'm sorry if it's pointing to the wrong journal).
