All of them are awesome, but I especially love those sweet, cuddly moments from the comics! I have not found those before and definitely need to read those issues!!

When I tried them before, they were not yet doing that good a job for us Spuffy fans. (And the art was sometimes truly awful!) Do you have any recommendations?

When I tried them before, they were not yet doing that good a job for us Spuffy fans. I never got past the first few issues of season 8 because they weren't great and the word of mouth on the rest of the season was horrible so I skipped season 8. Season 9 started to get better for our dynamic duo and a nice friendship started. Seasons 10 and 11 really gave us some wonderful Spuffy moments. Season 12 was the last season of the Dark horse comics, so they broke up Spike and Buffy "off camera". I think that was because they didn't want to really answer the Spike or Angel question.

(And the art was sometimes truly awful!) Yes, at times it could be awful, depending on who was the artist.

Do you have any recommendations? Yes, I would start with this meta. Then I would try to find the free online Jane Espenson "Spike" comic. It takes place in Darkhorse season 8 or 9. (If you can't find it I can email it to you.) After that, you should decide if you were interested enough to continue reading the comics and which season you want to read or skip. I hope this helps.

Oh, yes, very much so!!! I've got that meta bookmarked and look forward to diving into it and the free comic!

I actually tried to get caught up with my X-Men titles that way, but it seemed like just about every time I was getting hooked on something, the next volume would only be partially available...

It's just that it doesn't fit the clothing, or lack thereof, they're wearing in the story... But I LOVE IT SO MUCH and the emotions depicted are definitely SO FITTING... Can I get one for my upcoming story (to be posted on this Sunday) please and thank you???? Author name Apache Firecat, title is Malkia Mpendwa. I'll, of course, be more than happy to give you credit.

And if somebody wants to complain that the clothes don't fit the story, bugger 'em!! LOL

A little bit, but not much. I just haven't had the money, but there are definitely some moments in the later seasons that look very promising!

Yes, it's one of my favorite images to work with, especially since the coloring of the original cap is so dark and orange. It's always a fun challenge to color-correct the image.
