Buffy tries to close Spike out, but she always finds herself back in the dark with him while in return she shows him the light.
This is also the second time I've mashed up BtVS to a song by Great Northern (epic band is epic)

2011-04-17 03:56 (UTC)There's definitely something to be said for the use of instrumental music for a Spike/Buffy vid, because the piano section is lovely, and the voiceovers give the sense of conflicted feelings Buffy has for Spike. I adored that cloud of voiceovers!
Then there's the use of black and white to connect the action to the music, and the melancholy music itself. You've totally turned me on to Great Northern!
Then there's the incoherent babbling portion of this comment, where I just want to bask in the relationship as you portrayed it. And the middle part! Never disregard the middle part, where Buffy's thinking through season 6 and relating it to season 7 and how their relationship has changed!!! This is where I could just get CAPSLOCKY with the joy of this vid! It's not exactly a happy vid, because Buffy doesn't ever have a chance to allow herself to be happy, but it gives me warm, snuggly feelings to see her and Spike defending each other so hard and relating to each other on such a high level! It's the same sense of relating to one and other on a deeper level that made issue #40 of the comic so enjoyable - they get each other so well, and they know exactly what the other needs to hear. And you show that here!

2011-04-17 04:06 (UTC)WOW!! THIS IS PROBABLY THE BEST THING ANYONE HAS EVER SAID ABOUT ONE OF MY VIDEOS! NO JOKE
I almost wrote a much longer description for this video going into detail why I felt the music itself is so Buffy perspective, even though there aren't many lyrics in the song itself, but I really wanted the video to speak for itself and I'm really glad it did.
thank you so much for this comment, you've made my night! ♥

*rubs hands together evily*
my goal in life is to have every single Spuffy shipper become Great Northern/Spuffy shippers :D

YES YES YES!
I always try to delve in deep when making a Spike/Buffy video, I try not to make it about just one emotion, I can make a happy vid, cause they have plenty happy/funny moments, but I just can't relate that emotion to them without including the pain/hurt/love/understanding that comes with the rest of their relationship.
