Author's Note: These drabbles are follow-ups to my fic "A Place Beyond the Rains." Basic details from that that you need to know is that Buffy was stuck in a pocket dimension for five years working as a waiter in a demon-run truck stop and Spike (who'd worked as a bartender to support Dawn) saved her by convincing her that she needed to let go of a set concept of home in order to move on. Then the rains magically carried them away. It's a weird fic.
These four drabbles are setting during their dimension-hopping journey home.

So, for this round of Seasonal Spuffy, I thought it would be fun to do a journey through Spuffy across the seasons, using the elements as a metaphor for the changing state of their relationship.

Warnings: Some Buffy/Riley.
Author's Note: OK, so here's the fusion fic no one ever asked for: BtVS with the very obscure Grimm's fairy tale (at least, I'd never heard of it) "Faithful John."
This originated in an extended brainstorming session with thenewbuzwuzz, so I owe them a lot of credit for inspiration. But of course, anything that is weird or doesn't quite work is probably my fault. Buzwuzz is also responsable for the lovely banner and for the last minute beta, so applause and confetti for them!
I have this whole story written out at about 10k words (and let me say, never again during Nanowrimo) and I will edit and post it in its entirity probably over the month of December. Conscrit enthusiastically welcomed. And I know that the structure and conceipt is a little odd, so please don't hesitate to let me know whether it's working for you.
P.S. I'm sorry I haven't been able to check out and comment on more of everyone's surely amazing fic, art, etc. This month has been really crazy for me.

Author's note: I've been working on an original (well, Norse-mythology inspired) novel. So I haven't had much time for fanfic. This weird little story is what happens when I try to shift gears, I guess.
The story was a little rushed and is unbeta'd. Please let me know if you see anything that feels weird or OOC! I'm gonna edit it again before posting to other sites, so all kinds of feedback welcome. :) Oh, and the title's the best I could think of at the moment, but I'm not really happy with it. Warnings: Spike/Dru (at least nominally), referenced physical and psychological torture (none of which actually happens during the course of the story), vamp!Buffy, suicidal ideation, and canon-typical ableism
Word Count: 8,163
Summary: Buffy’s the reason Spike’s miserable, the reason he’s in the chair, the reason Angelus is soulless and sleeping with Spike’s girlfriend. But at the moment, she’s also the only person he can really talk to. Shared unhappiness is bringing them closer, but is there anything more to it than that?

Also, just a heads up if my summary and warnings don't make it clear, this fic definitely deals with dark themes. But this is a fic about people bonding in difficult circumstances and is ultimately more or less hopeful in its outlook. I hope to eventually continue this story, but for now this is meant to work reasonably well as a stand alone.

Summary: It's a Casablanca inspired Buffy fic! Set in an alternate 2017. Things haven't been going well in the Buffyverse. Spike and Buffy shared a wonderful summer a couple years ago, but he vanished suddenly just before Buffy recieved an terrible injury at the hands of the Scourge (the demon Nazis from Angel's Hero). Now she's running a nightclub and trying to forget about him. But, of course, things aren't going to be so easy.

Author's Note: t I'm a total fandom newb, and this is my first story for Seasonal Spuffy, hope I'm posting it right. Really it's more of a vignette, or the begining of a story. I wanted to write more but have had crazy life stuff going on including moving and a (relatively minor) surgery! Despite it now being as finished as it could be, I'm fairly happy with some of what's here, and I was determined to post something regardless. I do have more planned out though, and will try to continue it very soon. Please let me know what you think, any feedback (including constructive criticism) is much appreciated. Not beta'd, so I appologize for any mistakes.
