Graphic Novel: Black Widow Part I

Hi. It is my pleasure this time to kick off the Spring 2012 round of Seasonal Spuffy!


I have something a little different to offer today.

Six(!) years ago I wrote the story Black Widow for this community and it proved to be my most popular story by far (largely due to all the sex I expect). It was also an ideal candidate for this venture, a full blown photo-comic with Barbies!

I give you then, Part I of the Black Widow Graphic Novel:

Warnings: Dark futurefic. Graphic sex. Strong language, including the ‘c’ word. Violence.

No characters were harmed in the making of this fic (okay, maybe a little). They do not belong to me, but are the property of Fox Entertainment and Mutant Enemy.

Summary: Buffy has been missing for several years. When Spike goes to find her, he’s in for a very deep shock.

Timeline: Post-Chosen, Post Not Fade Away.

Oh wow, this is really well done! It's been a while since I read Black Widow but I think I remember the general outline of the story.

I love this story so much — dark with a happyish ending! It's incredibly memorable and unique. But this! THIS! Wow! Doll!fic is so fascinating to me, and you've done a fantastic job with it. You have an excellent grasp of the pacing of a graphic novel, and the fun visuals make a great story even more enjoyable. (I am completely mystified by the "breastplate". Did you have to make it yourself, and if not, should I be creeped out that such things are mass produced?)

Prepare to be creeped, as I did indeed buy it! It's part of another outfit actually, I have a few outfits from a site that sells, punky, gothy, pervy clothes for CY dolls.

Glad you enjoyed it, I have read more than a few graphic novels in my time, so something rubbed off.

This is So Cool. The mechanistic images of the barbie doll are perfect for representing chipped, brainwashed Buffy. I especially liked her memory-image of falling down through the lightning in the Gift. Good visual tie-back to the Buffy we know.

I would have liked to have done more with the flashbacks ro her previous life, but it got too complcated.

Oh, this is awesome! I can't imagine how much work it was to stage all those shots and put this together, but the effect is incredible! Off to the next segment...
