Thank you so much for all the wonderful comments! I'll reply to each, of course, but a general hug to everyone who took a moment to let me know they like my stuff.
Title: Other Skies, Other Worlds
Rating: PG. Worksafe.
Medium: Fan art, manip
Base: Spike base is a promo shot from Eragon; Buffy base is the art piece Red Sonja by the fantastically talented Donato Giancola. I sure would love to find more bases for fantasy-ish females that don't have boobs bigger than their heads and are actually wearing clothing!
Other pairings: None
Warning: Most of my stuff is big and may bog down dial up users.
See full size here.

It actually has some ties to Journeys. :-) I might just have to check "The Truce" out!

2008-04-07 11:57 (UTC)Hee! I did this one in about six different colors and looked at them for a week before choosing this one. I'm so glad you approve - thank you!

2008-04-07 12:24 (UTC)BTW if you're interested in awesome fantasy females, you may have heard of Luis Royo and Victoria Frances. Both are very talented artists that have great scenes.

2008-04-08 03:11 (UTC)I love Royo and have done a number of manips of his gorgeous women. (I sometimes find myself adding clothing, too. *snort*) I wish he would do more men and those with a body type more suited to Spike - I would love to manip bases like that!
I have a few Victoria Frances pieces saved on my computer and while I think they're lovely, the copies I have aren't of particularly great quality, so they wouldn't work as well for manipping. :-(
Thanks for the suggestions and please feel free to offer more - I'm always on the look out for great bases!

2008-04-08 20:52 (UTC)I love seeing Buffy and Spike manipped as warriors because that's what they truly are to me. So I see this manip as a strong metaphor as well as a wonderful art piece in which they look amazing together.
Thank you so much for sharing these brilliant pieces of art! I've loved each and every one of them to bits!

2008-04-08 22:17 (UTC)Oh, yes! To me, too. It's one of the things that I feel defines them. And I like manipping them that way when I find bases that suit them.
Once again, thank you so much for your very kind words. They are deeply appreciated.
*hugs*
