Thank you! I like the sort of 'watercolor' effect of the second one - particularly in Buffy's hair. It was an excersize in composition for me - something I sooooo need to work on.

Hee! I did the first one first and wanted to play with it a little more as far as composititon, which led to the second one. It's always so interesting to me to see what people respond to, something I don't often judge well. I'm so glad you like these, and thank you!

If I'd been TRYING to achieve a watercolor effect, I'm sure I'd have come up empty. *snort* Photoshop tends to be a lot of interesting little unexpected things for me. :-) Keeps it fun!

Delightful. In the first, I like how the scattering of light behind him hints at wings; the dark behind her, too, now that I thik of it. The blend of b&w, sepia, and color in the second one is really subtle and effective.

Thanks so much, caia. :-) I'm so glad you like both of them. I agree with the wing thing. It wasn't in the original intention, but there is that suggestion, and it's one of the reasons I used that texture.

These are both just wonderful! I can't pick a favorite for the life of me - they're so different yet equally brilliant. I love the way you use textures and colors and light, and the watercolor effect of the second one looks fantastic! And her expression is once again absolutely adorable. Fantastic work altogether!

I don't use much blue anywhere either - house, clothes (except for jeans) or fan art, but this appealed to me. Maybe because it's offset by enough brown? Hmmmm...
