You (again!) picked up on everything that was important to me, even the slight double entendre of 'her'.
Gah, there was so much tension from the very beginning between them, and they were both so very special for what they were (slayer and vampire) - it was so obvious he was her counterpart in every way, it's absolutely and totally unbelievable that Spike was intended to just -- go away after a few episodes! I'm sure though that a huge part of that was how SMG and JM acted.
I'm glad I had these two glimpses already sitting on my computer so that I could participate at least in this wonderful pre-SS :) Thanks for that special, it was a brilliant idea!
