This is a fabulous end to a wonderful story. The setup is superficially so silly (really, really silly), but the themes are big important ones, and you segue between the two so well. From early on, we know there's Something Hugely Wrong, and in fact it could hardly be more wrong, but you managed to pull it out as a happy ending that didn't feel forced.
