I'm glad that the ceremony worked for you. It could easily have gone from "heart felt" to sugar-coated, which was my biggest fear. I'm very happy you chose "sincere" to describe it, rather than "sentimental". Heh.
It was fun writing the wacky reception. I had this very clear picture of all the shenanigans going on, but much ended up on the cutting room floor. I'm probably going to expand a bit on the primae noctis in another story, though. Heh.
