So amazing and bleak and sharp and wonderful. I especially found Dawn to be excellently drawn in this chapter, even with everything else going on.
It's interesting that Spike and Buffy take such different things from their "good" night. She sees the potential, he sees the cosmic joke/horror, the "wrongness" of himself, if you will. They've reversed places from Season 6, in terms of outlook if not behavior. Great provoking of the thoughts!
