Beautiful! You gave needed flesh and feeling to the potentials, so I wonder--as usual--why there wasn't another episode for each episode, and hooray for writers that pick up the slack...I loved your individualities: specially because you didn't try to make them all likeable heroes; they are just humans with lots of issues and defects and virtues as well.
Who did I like the best? All of them for different reasons: Molly because the poor girl dies so soon, I had to go check because I couldn't remember her face, Vi for the Xena fantasy about the Slayer, that was so funny! Chao-Ahn and the injustice of it all, with the heartbreaking "conversation" with Spike, the striking contrast between the lives of Amanda and Rona, that brings them to such opposite ways of relating, the snootiness and prejudiced thinking of know-it-all Kennedy (and of course she survives, aren't rich, privileged people the ones that always get it their way and land on their feet?). Faith is in a different category, of course, and she passes with flying colours.
All through this, the glimpses and facets of Buffy and Spike budding relationship shine. Good thing you wrote the sequel before the prequel, so I don't have to feel much too sad for them!
Thank you for this lovely storytelling.
