This is a vivid, emotional start. Buffy's vitriol is hard to read, but it feels absolutely right for her in this time frame. Xander and Willow's meddling was also in character, though why this is any of their business is beyond me. Xander's anger and disgust were also hard to read, and threatening Spike when he can't do anything to protect himself is many levels of wrong.
You've left me feeling awful for this desperate, crushed Spike. I'm looking forward to how this turn of events in addition to Dawn's wish turns canon on its ear.
