Ahhh!... I was reading, fully convinced that Spike's wish will be fulfilled by a slightly different turn of events: Buffy and Xander watching the conversation in Magic Box and realising that they can't live without their beloved. This realisation would lead to reconsiliation and forgiveness so that, as a result, Spike and Anya would be no longer hurting over lovers leaving them.
