Oooh, wow, look at those! Niiiiice! :D The arty one most certainly works better when it comes to a format this small. Not that I'm surprised, though - I've done a couple of icons of my manips and always ended up changing the colors and most of all brightening them up in order to make them work. The brighter the better, I reckon, as far as the icons go.
