You did great. On one hand, clickable links to the next chapter often rob an author of more comments, especially when he ends the chapter on a cliffhanger. The urge to click on "next" is overwhelming - much bigger than the desire to post "thank you". But on the other hand, it's very convenient to navigate from chapter to chapter.
