And yes, this is definitely fun! I love your not-Spuffy-ish, and Spike being unable to resist his 'hello, cutie', and the fight with Angelus playing out as an actual fantasy come to life, and the way this very firmly sets Spike up to be thinking about the Slayer in Brazil (and proves him to be even more committed to saving the world than he was before).
I also liked the S4 bits you got in without getting too S4, though it naturally makes me wonder what this Spike is thinking when we get to S4, and definitely after the end of S5, when his fantasies can't come true and he (presumably?) has to be very firm with himself about not trying the same thing again. Or not? I don't know!
