 Happy Free-For-All Day!  I've posted the the second part of the Spike-miniseries-inspired fic I started on my day.  I'll have the third and last part up sometime in the near future, definitely before #10.

Title: Hey There, Blondie Bear (Part 2/3)
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Being normal doesn’t include having a vampire for a boyfriend, even one with a soul, but Spike’s not willing to be just her friend anymore.  Is “normal” all it’s cracked up to be?  Is it worth the price?  Begins after issue #10 (which will be released 6/13), which is when Spike will temporarily leave S9 for his own miniseries.  5,000 words.  Part 1 here.

When Buffy thought about falling in love again, she didn't expect it to be nearly so complicated as it actually turns out to be.
Also, she didn't expect it to be Spike. (She's not sure he did either.)

Rating: R...? I'm not sure I even know anymore with ratings, but there's sex in it and people swear lots and (gasp) I think there's some underage drinking too, which probably needs to be censored. ;)
Length: ~83,000 words in total; chapters are generally between 5000 and 6000 words.
Setting: Late S6, AU As You Were (and so much more! Not least in an AU AtS S3...)
Notes: Many thanks to the fabulous bogwitch for putting up with me and being my beta! This is the final story in a series I've written for the previous two rounds of seasonal_spuffy, consisting of The More Things Stay the Same and As Good as a Rest. I think what I'm posting today probably could stand on its own as a S6 AU, but I do follow up some stuff that happens in the previous fics, because it's a sequel. The main thing is that Dead Things went differently and some stuff happened in LA. Other stuff happened around Buffy's birthday. The chapter titles are of course from AYW!
Warnings: I don't think this would need any of the AO3 listed warnings. I think the genre of this is much more of a drama-going-on-mystery-ish-adventure story, so it's mostly in line with the show in terms of what it involves.

There she finds a grieving Angel and a newly undead Spike, as well as the horrifying threat which fate has brought her back to L.A. in order to vanquish. But is Buffy ready to face her inner demons and finally escape the clutches of the past? Ensemble cast.

Author's Note: This chapter got quite long and also remains un-betaed, but I really wanted to get it finished and up in time for the free-for-all day for once! This chapter marks the halfway point of the story but also serves as the end of part one if this were a two part television episode, hence the evil evil cliffhanger :D For any new readers the first three chapters can be found here. Fic: Adventures in Parenting (1/1)

I’m back with the ficlet that I didn’t finish in time for my posting day. I thought I would be out of town and couldn’t post it on free-for-all day, but plans changed. Got a huge project at work that I’ve been living, breathing and not-sleeping over for the last three weeks. I’m finally done with it tomorrow (yay!) and plan to do nothing this holiday weekend but catch up on sleep and enjoy a marathon of Spuffy goodness.

 

Okay, so considering this is my third dialogue-only RandyBlade/Joan story, I think it’s officially safe to call it…a thing. Dare I even say…a series? So I want to give it a name, but I’m not sure what. Suggestions anyone?

 

This ficlet has some inside jokes/references to events in the previous two ficlets. If you haven’t read them and would like to first, here’s Mortgage Crisis and here’s Dear Randy.
