Summary: Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. What is left, after the earth stops shaking, is the truth a heart can no longer hide. This is what Buffy learns in one brief, solitary glance into the eyes of a man, a vampire, from her past.

A/N: I tried something new with this piece of fiction. My muse didn’t want to cooperate on what I planned to post today so, left with no choice, I turned my muse upside down and forced her to give me something, anything to post today. This short ficlet, told in first person and in Buffy’s POV, is what I received. I hope you enjoy it.

Timeline: Post Chosen, Buffy S7; Post Not Fade Away, Angel S5; Btvs S8 comics (sort of)
Spoilers: Btvs S8 comics, though only in the top surface since as I’ve not actually read them, just heard things here and there. I’ll put my own twist on everything that happens, as I have no actual idea of what is really going on in the comics. I’m just using something I read as a basis for a new Spuffy story. ;-)

Summary: Spike cannot accept the person Buffy has become, but to find the strong woman he knew before, he must dig deep within himself and turn his back on the man, the Sire, who fought beside him these last few months. He will not give up on Buffy without a fight, or the relationship they might find once the spell-enhanced fog clears from her head. Buffy belongs with him; she just doesn’t know it yet.

A/N: dampersnspoons linked to a post by jnb71976 (http://jnb71976.livejournal.com/15763.html) and since I hadn’t read the comics, I was curious to find out what the hoopla over it is. Upon reading it, I grew angry on Angel’s behalf, but then I realized I had an opportunity to use his current craze to fuel a Spuffy fic in which Spike must find away to save Buffy. To Bring Her Back is the result. Hope you like it!

Summary: Buffy realizes there is more to Spike than what the Council wants her to believe, but she knows she can’t focus on that fact without also focusing on her growing attraction to him, a concept she’d rather die than admit aloud to him…

First - send my congratulations and thanks to the new organizers for this wonderful Spuffy Community - and also say thank you to enigmaticblues for keeping Seasonal Spuffy open for the previous years -

I apologize for having to post so late - there was a show that I had to do today - Hope you enjoy my submissions for this round. Buffy Season 8 makes this year even more special for me as a way to express my admiration and love for this great relationship that is Spuffy.
