Notes: the below work is a form of found poetry. I wrote it using only words and phrases that appear in authors'/artists' notes in Seasonal Spuffy posts. I tried to focus on common themes and avoid taking anything too unique, but regardless credit for the longer phrases I borrowed is at the bottom of the post.
Thank you: to the mods for their hard work and for hosting this extra solstice event; to the ever-lovely thewiggins, beta and friend, for useful and very quick last-minute assistance, and to everyone for the memories.
Summary: Buffy is writing a poem for Spike post-series, once she knows that he survived but hesitated to contact her. This is not comics-compliant.

Seasonal Spuffy Spring 2024 Closing Post

The Spring 2024 round of Seasonal Spuffy is now closed. Thank you to all who participated. Whether you contributed art, fic, feedback, or something else, your participation is very much appreciated.

We had planned the close of this round to also end our run on LJ/DW. Several people didn’t get to finish their offering for the Spring 2024 round and asked if we could do a summer Solstice round. fancyflautist has graciously agreed to run the round. The round will run on June 20th and June 21st.

It’s another “free for all day and my recco for today is double_dutchess

double_dutchess is a wonderful artist with great talent and style. Four of her banners have been chosen for the Seasonal Spuffy banner challenge. Unfortunately, quite a few of her banners were lost when nicpic shut down. Thank goodness the same isn’t true for her wonderful videos. (It was very hard just picking two of her videos.)

double_dutchess has a talent for putting the perfect song to go with the perfect pictures/scenes.

The first video "Fire" is a perfect example of everything working well together using the Pointer Sisters’ song of the same name. It can be found here

My second double_dutchess recco is “Spuffy Abridged”. A vid put together with (believe it or not) “The William Tell Overture”!! AND it really works! You can find the vid here.

As my entry for this round, I wanted to pay homage to a few of the wonderful fanworks that have been made for Seasonal Spuffy over the years. I made banners for six fics and one video I have enjoyed in past rounds ranging from 2005 to 2022. I had a lot more on my list, but these seven were all I had time for. Besides the banners I am also including links to the fanworks I created the banners for, which I hope is allowed even though it's not a free for all day.

To all the wonderful authors and other creators who have contributed to Seasonal Spuffy over the years (the ones linked below are just the tip of the iceberg!) I say, thanks for the memories!
