OHHHH, you make me so happy with your lovely long comment of happiness. This pretty much made my day, right here.
give enough detail about the post-apocalyptic world for us to understand it without the setting bogging down the plot.
Yay! I actually have quite a few ideas about what this post-apocalyptic world looks like, but oddly enough, I don't actually care that much about writing about them. So all the reader ends up getting are the glimpses.
Perfect description of her character! It explains both her flaws and her strengths.
I confess, even though this is a Spuffy fic, that line about Willow may be my favorite line in it. It summarizes so much of how I see her as a character. I'm glad it rang true with you as well. :)
The concept of them knowing exactly how to stimulate/calm each other is almost as hot as actual sexy times.
Yay! This is an excellent thing, seeing as I probably will never manage to write the actual sexy times. *g* The intimacy is the part of their sexual relationship I care part more than the mechanics of the thing, and it's the part I always appreciate most in other people's writing. (rahirah and st_salieri are two of my favorites for that sort of thing.) I am thrilled you got something similar from this fic.
It’s easy to see how Buffy’s nervousness, helplessness, and unintentional coldness in the other fics stem from her characterization here.
Yay. I actually had most of this written before I started posting the snippets, so I knew where she was coming from emotionally, but this just took a lot longer to beat into shape. Yay for seasonal_spuffy and deadlines. *g*
he never outright says that he’ll have the baby even without her support but how it’s kind of implied
Yes. But as you say, he also knows where Buffy's at and he gives her time to process. Now, probably the next fic I need to write is the one prior to this, in which he deals with all his suddenly!human issues. But that one's going to take some really careful handling, and I haven't gotten around to tackling it yet.
Thank you SO much for the long detailed comment and especially for your very kind words. I'm thrilled that you enjoyed it, and that you got out so much of what I put in.
