I loved this story so much, I don't even have words. Way, way better than how either season went for either show!

I'm madly curious about Angel and Spike's interaction while Buffy was off foiling Holtz, particularly given the context of Connor and that Spike must have known about Darla. But I also know it wouldn't have fit with the Buffy-centered nature of this story, so I'll just continue to wildly speculate.

I loved what interaction Angel and Spike had. They both were surprisingly (but realistically) adult. I think they both knew sorting Buffy out was top priority.

Dawn catching Buffy & Spike making out was awesome. Especially with Buffy not immediately freaking out, or it really being a huge deal after all.

And I just point blank LOVED your Spike in this. You captured so much of all the best parts about his character. Especially in this season, where he's doing everything he can to save Buffy and has no idea how.

Him taking the opportunity to pull her onto his lap with the champagne was adorable. And so believable.

I also loved the little details, in the last scene especially - with his rings and necklace... it made it so much more realistic.
