Oh, wow, I really really liked this. I love that you twisted the cipher of the baby representing all the fluffy feelings Buffy and Spike have kept hidden into making it something that actually reflected their state at the time. I love combination of the bizarre and the horror and the bleak and the sweet. I love the characterisation (especially Giles, who I think is brilliant) and that scene at the beginning of this section where Spike's freaking out and has to burn the baby-thing? That was just fantastic.

Also, putting the actual baby-break-out right at the beginning of the fic worked really well, I thought. I was trying to work out all along whether it was a nightmare or an actual flashforward, and then we got here and it was like, damn - which mirrored Spike's emotions so well.
