I'm afraid this fic has a lot of people behaving very badly. And unlike Buffy, Spike really has no support system. I'm glad you liked the alley scene! I absolutely love when he does something similar on AtS.

Buffy has these strange, soft moments with Spike when she forgets to guard against him. She's hurting and confused, but she certainly isn't ready to kick him to the curb.

Of course. Except, of course, that I'm twisting around certain tropes of the baby fic, and vampire cults are one of them. It might not turn out like you would expect. :-)
