What an interesting premise and I enjoyed Spike's anger and Buffy's initial panic and the general chaos that ensued. Buffy attacking Giles was vividly drawn and it's understandable that she jumped to that conclusion. It's only been days since Rupert tried to take the vampire out, so stealing Spike's soul might have been a way to drive a wedge between the slayer and her vampire.

Spike and Buffy's emotional conversation was revealing and I like that you're showing how much Buffy trusts him in this. Her displeasure at his thoughts on the soul were revealing. She really cares about him and it's lovely to read.

Buffy's speech was heartfelt and entertaining and I love that she's got Anya on her side in this.
