This was vivid and emotional and beautifully written. The drinks believably pushed Buffy's emotions closer to the surface, and her reaction to Willow was pitch perfect. She's angry with her friends and with herself and she misses her vampire and it's pissing her off even more. When Willow gets pushy, Buffy just pushes right back. Her confession was a relief.

I loved this: She blinked and the crypt door was in front of her. It was as it always was – as solid and unyielding as a sentinel; the line between her normal world, and her world with him.

She pushed it open. Buffy's finally chosen. What a breakthrough.

The switch in points of view worked beautifully, too. Buffy deserved Spike's sadness and bitterness and defeat, but you've left me believing all will be forgiven with her announcement.
