I have always suspected something move than the obvious with those eggs. Buffy was dropping by all the time with no warning(in canon)and why then would SPike house a dangerous demon egg hatchery virtually in his bedroom for the Slayer to find? Made no sense. As for the "international dealer in demonic weapons of mass destruction"....uh...this IS SPike isn't it? Made no sense.
