I've just devoured this story in one sitting, and I'm dying for more. This is wonderfully written, completely engrossing. I feel like I've been riding an emotional roller-coaster of hope and excitement and worry. You've got me on the edge of my seat!

Your Buffy voice is canon crisp, and your Spike body language is terrifically evocative of Spike's most endearing (and sexy) mannerisms. I especially love the way you describe emotions playing on his face, in his eyes. And the description of the "spectacular V of cheekbones, narrowing to his jaw" in Ch 4: that's perfect. As I was reading your dialog, I could hear their voices in my head, clear as day--particularly when they were arguing.

Exceptionally well done. I'm eager for the next part!
