I've been reading Buffy fanfiction since the summer after Season 6 and I believe A Raising in the Sun was about the third story I read. It kept me reading after those first two wasted efforts. Since then I've come across some wonderful writers and some not so wonderful writers. At a very basic level I judge stories by how my emotional reaction to them compares to my reaction to A Raising in the Sun. Of course, I read it a few years ago so that reaction is now really more of a memory than anything else. But after reading this it's all coming back to me. It's rather nostalgic. Recapturing the excitement of that first discovery. So I figure it's time I actually gave some feedback (for the first time ever) and let you know how absolutely perfect this story is. Now I'm going to reread Raising and Necessary Evils and then on to A Parliament of Monsters. But for now I'm impatiently waiting for the continuation of this story.
